Crashes as soon as I open it

I’ve heard glowing reviews about this app from just about everyone, and as an educator who scans tons of documents, I was really looking forward to using it. Unfortunately, it gives the following error when I open it:

Internal program error:
/Volumes/Storage/BuildServer/buildAgent/work/503b2903815deb43/Shell/Components/FineUI/Dll.Awl/Source/GdiObjectAwl.mm, 179.

Then it crashes immediately after I hit “Ok.”

Bummer.

I’ve contacted support about it, hopefully they’ll have a solution. If anyone has any info about this issue, I’d love some insight. Google searching doesn’t turn up much. I’d love for this program to work so I could give an excellent review like everyone else.
