high price, but offers auto straightening and MRC compression
its not worth the price. The only advantage to paying this much money is the fact that it can straigten PDF’s and output using MRC compression. As such, i only use it for straightening PDF’s and outputting with MRC compression. I then use PDFScanner for OCR recognition, and it has better automator capabilities.
Feature request:
Please allow more controls with Abby Fine Reader for Mac (purchased from the Mac app store).
First, I would like is the ability to specifically select the enhancement I want during import. For example, when importing I want to select remove motion blur, reduce iso noise, and deskew, as well as detect page orientation. However, the software forces the use of the enhance images option, also corrects curved text. I dont want to use curved text because it results in distorted images.
Second, in order to export as PDF (page image only), I have to force Abby Fine reader to read all the images, which is something I dont want as Im only interested in exporting as a PDF with MRC compression, but not with reading enabled. This feature request is really important, it is a time waster to have to force FineReader to read images, when they are being exported as PDF images, without text.
